I always love a good story, and now the web offers a great site that allows you to piece together your own photos, videos and music and rearrange them in a way that you allows you to tell fun stories your way. TumbleCloud describes itself as a place for “collaborative digital storytelling.” It has a built-in and easy-to-use video editor, which allows users to create a quick “video montage” shall we say, out of their own videos, photos and/or music.The site offers users the capabilities to “capture a special day, market a small business, work with clients, and collaborate on a project.” Growing as a social network of sorts, TumbleCloud lets you connect with people that you know, and allow them to add more media from the moments you have captured to videos that you’ve already created.

TumbleCloud is brand new to the scene, having been launched in Beta only last week, so users will need to request an invite to  become a member of the site. But what’s great is that they offer a test run for you to create your own storyboard. So if you like what you see, you can get bragging rights after you become one of the first members of TumbleCloud.

With the growing number of social network sites out there, it may have become a little stressful to manage all of your personal accounts in one day. Especially if you’re trying to make a name for yourself by posting on Twitter, Facebook, Linked in, Dribble, Behance, Pinterest…need i go on?? Well, the other day I came across a great site that is somewhat ironic, but extremely helpful for those of us who need five extra minutes in the day. The site is called Hoot Suite, and essentially it is a social network for managing social networks, pretty crafty eh?

Hoot Suite allows users to manage multiple social profiles at once. They can write up messages in advance that Hoot Suite will post to all of your active social profiles at the time that you specify. So, if you plan just right, you can send out a message across multiple platforms during times when the majority of your audience will most likely be online, exponentially improving your business’ online presence. Hoot Suite currently has over 3 millions users, including Martha Stewart, FOX News, The Onion and even Dolly Parton (ahh I’ve caught your attention now). It currently has two versions available for use, Pro and Basic. The Basic Version is available for Free Sign Up, so check it out!

This Web Wednesday, we are featuring Join.me. A great site that makes screen sharing on the go super easy. It especially comes in handy for company training, or when you need to attend a meeting and you can’t actually be there. The user emails the generated number to begin screen sharing. You also have the option to create a chat while screen sharing. The chat options allow for both one on one chats, or chatting with the entire group. The user can also send files to the computers that they are connecting with, which makes file sharing super easy and convenient. The viewer also has the capabilities of requesting mouse control, which comes in handy when you need to have a spur of the moment meeting.

The apple store has the Join.me app available free for download, which you can access through both the iPhone and iPad. And Android users, fear not! you can also download a free version of the app to access on your phone as well. Enjoy!

So this week, i’m bringing you a relatively new social network of sorts(at least to me), voted one of the best websites of 2011 by Time Magazine, Klout.com. When you sign up as a member of Klout, it takes the data from your Facebook and Twitter and analyzes how much of an influence you have on those that follow you. How many people respond to your messages? Do your messages boost or create change? Once your network is analyzed, you are left with a Klout Score, the higher the score the bigger the perks. Klout Perks are products or experiences that you earn based on your influence. Some really nice perks that users have received are laptops and airline tickets. Now you may be wondering, why would they just give away stuff for free to people who have well established social networks? Well, companies that want to promote their products rely on the influencer to help spread the message of their product, do you like it and would you recommend it? But don’t worry, there is no obligation to talk about the products that you earn through Klout, nor do you even have to accept the product that you are offered.

The idea behind Klout is new and fresh and its popularity has grown exponentially in the past year. It currently has scored over 100 million people and that number continues to rise. It also seems to be extremely beneficial in today’s economy, helping to boost smaller business’ by word of mouth and what better way to do that than through social networking.

I hope you all had a Fantastic New Years Celebration! I am sure you have plenty of photos and videos to commemorate the New Year, and if you’re wondering how to send those large file sizes to friends and family, well let me introduce you to Kicksend. Now, I’m sure that you know there are plenty of other file sharing programs out their, but Kicksend offers a fresh, simple to use interface that allows users to send any file privately, regardless of file size, to anyone on their email list. The recipient doesn’t even need to sign up for Kicksend to open the file.

You can also have private conversations in real time through Kicksend, making it so much easier for collaborating on group projects. And if you want to make sure that certain people have opened the document, Kicksend will send along notifications and statistics to the user so they can see how many people in a group have downloaded the file.

So make sure to check out Kicksend, it has a great user interface that is simple to use, and pretty much allows users to send any size file, to any device, across any platform. They even have an iphone app available for download at the app store so you can send out all those great pics from your phone. Enjoy!

ESCO enjoys the reputation across the industry as the leader in high-quality energy efficiency lighting and the committed service, competitive pricing and know-how that comes along with it. To say the least, they have been around a while and needed a facelift. ESCO hired DIF Design to rebrand the company, re-designing all of their materials, website and logo.

We went at this project like all others, market research. Through careful study and target market analysis we arrived at the new look and implimented it on their website.

Welcome back, I hope everyone had a great start to the Holidays! Well in accordance with our end of year website highlights, and taking into account the Monday holiday, we are bringing you two launch announcements today.

The National Center for Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) is recognized nationally as a leader for its expertise in developing and distributing comprehensive ICT content supporting business and industry’s efforts to educate and train the ICT workforce.

Gordon F. Snyder, Executive Director of ICT, has been working with us for years. This is the second time Gordon has come to us to redesign his website, which we believe should be done every two to three years. Gordon thought that in order to get the word out on their website, social media was the key. We re-designed the ICT website to bring twitter, Facebook, blog posts and YouTube directly to the home page for an information rich environment. Visitors can get an excellent idea of what is happening at ICT just from the homepage.

GoBerry, our second installment in today’s post, serves frozen dessert with fresh fruit and berries. GoBerry’s frozen yogurt is made with the freshest ingredients and is produced without the use of dairy containing antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones.

Alex and Molly Feinstein wanted a simple website that represented a product that highlighted the freshness and its taste.  We kept it simple, images of fresh fruit and berries, and threw in some chocolate…who doesn’t like at least something there.

With 25+ years of experience in her field, Sandy Michon is at the top of her game. Relaying that with a website design, while looking contemporary, and edgy, was her goal.

In the design process we incorporated bold color with simple details. An open and airy layout with a sense of business longevity flirting with a youthful attitude.

Most will find this website simple and easy to use, never thinking about the subconscious undertones of creating trust and professionalism.
