Web Wednesdays – each Wednesday we will feature a website that we’ve come across while in our process of searching for inspiration, the latest trends, or learning about anything and everything we can get our hands on that interests us.
This weeks posting is for The Idealists, who truly live up to their name. It’s a website for the ‘elite’, so to speak, only granting member invitations to communication professionals with a proven portfolio of work at a national/international level. But it won’t stop me from admiring their site. The functionality is pretty simple, once you receive an invitation, you are granted permission to create your own profile page, where you answer questions about your developed skills. When a project arises that is matched to your skills, you will receive an email telling you about the project, and from there you can decide if you want to work on it or not.
Members range all the way from freelancers to global agencies, some featured users of The Idealists include Viacom, Levi’s, Coca-Cola , Sephora and Nike. If you’re lucky enough to receive an invitation to join, keep in mind that there is a 10% commission fee for all of the projects that you create. Good Luck!
